- Your name (first name is fine) and a reply email address so we can get back to you
Reporting Errors or Outdated Information
Accuracy is the foundation of everything we publish. SASSA policies, payment dates, grant amounts, and application procedures change regularly – and despite our best efforts, some information may become outdated between updates. If you have spotted something that is no longer correct, we genuinely want to know.
When reporting an error, the most helpful thing you can do is tell us specifically what is wrong and, if possible, point us to an official SASSA source that shows the correct information. This helps us verify and fix the issue as quickly as possible. We update our pages as soon as corrections are confirmed.
Scam Warning – Protect Yourself
Fraudsters regularly target South Africans by impersonating legitimate SASSA information websites, creating fake contact forms, and sending unofficial messages claiming to offer SASSA services for a fee. Please protect yourself by remembering the following:
- We will never contact you unsolicited via WhatsApp, SMS, or phone claiming to represent our site or SASSA.
- We will never ask for your ID number, SASSA PIN, banking details, or OTP under any circumstances.
- We will never charge you money to access our content, answer your question, or resolve a SASSA issue. Our site is completely free.
- If you receive a suspicious message claiming to be from us or from SASSA, do not respond and do not click any links. Report it to SASSA on 0800 60 10 11.
